"The Point", aptly named because the property is a peninsula. 300 feet of waterfront and no abutting neighbors. Stunning views of the water and mountain from this restaurant-converted home. The house sleeps 10 comfortably and has a full kitchen with appliances and several amenities . There are 3 bedroom areas: 1 king bed in master, 1 queen in guest room, and 2 queen and 2 twin in loft area. 2 1/2 baths (one claw-foot tub and one shower in one bathroom and 1 shower in the other full bath). There is a large great room with a dining area (seats 8) and two seating areas. There is a 55" flat screen television with Direct TV, blue-Ray player and a variety of DVD's. There is a wood burning fireplace in the library which is part of the kitchen area. A separate area, 3 steps down from the main floor, is perfect for kids/teens to play video games. There is also a futon for extra guests. Outdoors, we have a gas grill, fire pit, 6 Adirondack chairs and a covered gazebo sitting area with large cocktail table and 4 swivel, cushioned chairs . Kayaks (2), life jackets, and a canoe are at your disposal for fishing and exploring the spring-fed, trout stocked, 88 acre pond (fishing poles/gear are not available). The water is so clear that often we see scuba-divers on this very deep and motorboat approved pond (boat not available). Linens ,towels, washer and dryer included.

Property is on 500 feet of lakefront, with canoes and kayaks available for your use. The expansive lawn is equipped with grills and picnic tables. The area has many cultural attractions, including Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, Norman Rockwell Museum, Berkshire Museum and Chesterwood. Outdoor activities right outside your doorstep include hiking the Appalachian Trail, Becket State Forest and October Mountain State Forest, both lake and stream fishing, and seasonal hunting. We are located minutes from the Cranwell Golf Course and Greenock Country Club. In the winter there are several ski areas, Ice Fishing on our lake, and access to the Massachusetts Snowmobile Trail System directly from our property. The Beaver Dam is a sunlight-filled cabin tucked in the woods, overlooking the October Mountain State Park and steps away from Basin Pond. We are located close to a number of excellent ski slopes. Our cottage is the last house on a private road and right next to protected forest. This is our beautiful, rambling 1790 farmhouse with plenty of rooms to get away from it all but close enough for all that the Cultural Berkshires has to offer! There are five bedrooms with queen/double beds. One of the bedrooms has an additional twin bed. There is also a bedroom with a twin bed, with room for an extra bed. Study on ground floor includes a fold-out futon (queen-sized) couch. "Master Bedroom" includes en-suite bath. Second bathroom includes walk-in double shower and old fashioned bathtub for the rest of the upstairs guests. Ground floor also has a half bath. The Snow House amenities include a washer, dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, lawn mowing/snow plowing service, abundant parking, fans (for the occasional very warm night) are available for every bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a screened-in porch with wicker furniture for the cocktail hour. There is also a patio (with picnic table) for morning breakfast, or the evening barbecue. This home, built in 2009 by a master builder, is located 15 miles from Tanglewood and 5 miles from Jacob's Pillow. We block off 72 hours before and after every visit. While the cottage sleeps 8 guest, it is better suited for families with children. It is not a giant cabin and 8 full grown adults would not be very comfortable. To make pricing affordable for smaller groups, the cabin is price for 4 people. Additional guests (regardless of age) are an extra 25$ per guest, per night. Large groups of guest (like weddings or reunions) are not allowed. The design of the septic and structure discourages the property to be used in that capacity without the possibility of incurring damage to the structure and the limiting of the use for future guests. The Loft is a unique private large 690 s.f. modern cabin like structure with great forest and garden views and access to a great beach area on a clean beautiful mountain lake. All of our previous guests have commented that the Loft is much bigger than it appears in pictures, that it exceeded their expectations and is much more charming than any of the pictures depict it. There is a bedroom area with a king bed, a kitchenette area equipped with small appliances, a dining area, a great living room area complete with a freestanding gas stove and a futon which converts to a bed, a single bed situated privately in a raised alcove accessed by a ship's ladder and a good sized bathroom with a generous sized shower.The Loft has its own private entrance. There is access to a beautiful private beach and lawn with a dock. The Loft has an outdoor grill, complete with a side burner that sits on the large private back deck in the woods, internet, air conditioning and both the back deck and front deck are accessed by glass french doors which lets in all the light and makes one feel as if one is part of the outside. Enjoy outdoor living on your own expansive deck in the woods or on the lawn at the beach. Swim right from the sandy beach, kayak (5 available for use along with vests) sail (sunfish available)or just take in the scenery and watch for the eagles and great blue herons at owners' private lakefront on Goose Pond, a large very clean and beautiful 270 acre lake of which the majority is in preservation. There are bocci and cornhole as well as indoor games. A short walk away (10 minutes) the Appalachian Trail provides great hiking opportunities, you can even walk around the top end of the upper lake or into the infamous Tyringham Valley! The area is spectacular. The Loft is near all of the cultural offerings of the Berkshires: Stockbridge Theatre Festival, Shakespear and Co., Norman Rockwell Museum, Jacob's Pillow, Naumkeg, Kripalu, just to mention a few. Trustees of Reservation hikes are close by too. Fantastic boutique shopping and great cafes are pleasant destinations in area towns. The Premium Outlet Village offers great outlet shopping and is just a 10 minute drive away. There are many great restaurants in the area. We are on a beautiful lake, in the country but just a short drive to anything that you might wish to do here in the 4 season area of the beautiful Berkshires. The summer offers all of the cultural amenities that the Berkshires if famous for and the lake is warm for swimming. The early summer and fall are also perfect times to visit the Loft and the Berkshires in general. The area is quieter and the scenery is spectacular. Fall foliage on the lake is something not to be misted and the free standing gas stove makes the evenings in the Loft cozy and contributes to a warm and inviting atmosphere. Come and enjoy! The open Great room/ dining area opens onto the outdoor porch that stretches the entire frontage of the home. From there the view leaves one at peace with nature! Great for cocktails and barbecues. While outside, take the stairs from the deck to the lower level and down to the lake. Fish directly off the dock or take a swim across. This lovely lakefront cottage has been a favorite family gathering place of ours for 30 years. It sits on picturesque Lower Goose Pond in the heart of the Berkshires. The property is situated on a dead end street of a private lake community. The house is just over 1,000sf with a deck overlooking a large yard and the lake. The lakefront yard is big enough for a family game of whiffle ball or to throw a frisbee around. The first floor has the kitchen, living room (with a couch to sleep 5), a full bathroom, and a bedroom with a full size bed. Ascend a wooden spiral staircase to access the spacious master bedroom and bath. Outdoor furniture and a gas grill off the kitchen make outdoor dining easy. The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans, as well as dishes and other essentials. We provide bed linens and bath towels, and there is a washing machine and dryer in the basement. There is a dock on the property, and two kayaks and a canoe are available for your use. There is a public boat launch nearby if you want to bring your own powerboat, sailboat or jet ski. Clear water makes for great swimming. The main lake is connected to Upper Goose by a small estuary. Approximately 30-45 minutes by kayak or canoe, Upper Goose is environmentally protected and free from development – just the lake, surrounding mountains, and unspoiled nature. Please note that the cottage is not winterized, so it is available in spring, summer, and fall. The cottage is walking distance to the Appalachian Trail, and a short drive to Lee (close enough to bike to), the Outlets, Tanglewood, and all that the Berkshires has to offer. I also highly recommend the very popular Fratelli’s in Otis for a delicious meal on Main Street in Otis (takeout only offered at this time), also a short drive from my home, but worth it. More about the house: Small home and yet spacious. Continually updating accommodations for a pleasant experience. Three bedrooms (one is very bright and sunny; one can be made to be very dark and; one with a combination of lightness/darkness - each bedroom can suit any sleeping preference!). A bright, sunny, and quiet office space if you need to get some work done away from the hustle and bustle. Large screen TV (4 feet wide, 3 feet high) with an excellent picture and a Netflix app in the living room. Relaxing back stone patio with a gas grill for comfortable outdoor dining along with a portable outdoor fire pit for making s’mores. Peaceful backyard in the morning with active, chirping birds and even more peaceful in the early evening when the birds are going to bed and a little more quiet. ?? Very peacful place to come and get away from it all, but at the same time be close to everything. We are five minutes away from Jacob's Pillow, fifteen minutes away from the Lee outlets, not far from many theathers, museums,ten minutes away from the application trail, and many other attractions are nearby, or just take a few steps out the back door and take a dip in the lake.
